GEO Princess Mimi aka Bambi lens

Lately i've noticed a huge popularity in GEO's Princess Mimi aka Bambi lens so i thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and purchase this latest design. This series comes in 4 colours and the design looks quite similar to GEO's Angel series in that they have the black limbal ring but the diameter of the Mimi series is bigger.

Diameter: 15mm
Duration: Yearly lenses
Prescription: Available in 0.00 ~ -6.00
Colours: Chocolate Brown, Apple Green, Sesame Gray and Almond

 Chocolate Brown

Apple Green

Sesame Gray
I just ordered my Sesame Gray lens from ModeBarbie and am currently waiting for it to arrive in the post. When it arrives, i'll do a short post on it. Sesame Gray looks amazing on Tsubasa but because the diameter is larger than most contact lenses, i'm afraid it'll appear quite bug-eyed on me. Fingers crossed this does not happen!

Anyway, ModeBarbie is an online store based in Australia and officially opened on May 20 2011. It currently sells a few Japanese Gyaru inspired items so I look forward to when more items become publicly available =)

1 Litre of Tears

'1 Litre of Tears' is a 2005 Japanese drama about a 15-year-old school girl, Aya diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Degeneration, an incurable disease where the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write or eat

The script is based on a true story which follows the life of Aya from a diary she wrote of her experiences and as a purpose to remind herself not to give up.

Sawajiri Erika plays Aya and portrays such a compassionate character who bravely faces her disease by continuing to live a normal life whilst treasuring her time with her family and friends.

Her diary “1 Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message. It's one of the saddest dramas i've seen and it will certainly make you shed many tears.

So to end this mellow entry on a happy note, here's one of my favourite songs by Sawajiri Erika, Taiyou No Uta (A Song to the Sun).

ENGLISH:
You touched my trembling hand
For the first time
And I finally experienced
A gentle feeling of warmth

I opened the window that had been shut
And a new wind blew in

Laughing, crying, meeting you
The world I saw began to shine
Under the sun where the sunflowers swayed
I felt the wind, I felt you

Believing, being lost,
And stopping short, and everything
Maybe it’s all an answer
To why I’m alive here and now

Let my monochromatic days
Take on colour

Laughing, crying, meeting you
The future ahead of us was shining
Under the sun where the sunflowers sway
I sing about tomorrow as I am

How much can we love each other
In this unstoppable time, these limited days?
We can love each other, right?
When you're here, I don't even turn away from the light

Laughing, crying, meeting you
The future ahead of us was shining
Under the sun where the sunflowers sway
I sing about tomorrow

I want to say thank you, I can say it now
I won't forget the seasons we’ve spent
Like the sun the sunflowers sway under
My song will shine on you

For you, as I am...

It takes art

When you walk into a nail salon and look at the list of services they offer, it would typically include manicures, pedicures, nail art, acrylics and powder gel nails.

However, people are increasingly yearning for something more.

3D nail art!

3D nail art started in the early 90s, but has made a huge comeback due to the popularity in Japan and more so by mainstream celebrities such as Lady GaGa, Rihanna and Katy Perry who have been the biggest influencers in expanding Japanese nail art culture on the American fashion front.

So far, i've seen very few nail salons offering such service as it require intricate care to do it. It tests the technicians patience and creativity and the price is relatively high as most 3D nail arts are done on top of your acrylic or gel nails. These lasts for about  2 to 3 weeks before your real nails grows out and becomes more apparent from your fake nails.

So what other options are out there for you?

Yukiumi and Kawaii Nails sell 3D nails that's not only cheaper than what you will pay at your local nail salon, but are reusable for you to use as many times as you want if proper care is taken for them. For more information, enter their site for more tips and instructions.

 Happy browsing!

To be a little bit different

'Master Chef' 2011 has finally made its presence on our television screen tonight. I was hoping to see some traits of individuality and spark in some of the contestants this year but one episode cannot be enough to capture the character of such a large number of contestants in the show. I await in utter eagerness when they will dramatically cut down the numbers!

Speaking of individuality, a contestant that captured my eye in Season's 2 'My Kitchen Rules' was Lee Chan. Why?

Because of her look!

For a hairstyle like hers is so hard to pull off but it absolutely suits her personality.

So as i warm myself into this entry, you should be able to guess the purpose of my rant.

I adore females who can pull of unique and quirky hairstyles that could but did not go borderline terrible.

Wakatsuki Chinatsu (WC), is another one of my favourite Japanese models who has the ability to achieve many gorgeous looks.

When Lee Chan came to our screens during 'My Kitchen Rules', it automatically reminded me of WC's look last year when she partially shaved down the sides of her head with the letters 'BB' (Big Bang) - A Korean Pop band.

WC has  released this years fashion clothing at her website, 'W♥C'. Her style's so refreshing and unique but I unfortunately have no chance of pulling such outfits as hers.

She sure has talent, attitude and a whole lot of personality don't you think?
